_It has been a while since I wrote on this blog. It´s because we have had guests and been away on holiday. We took Carol's sister Kaye and her boyfriend David to the Island Phu Quoc down south. It was warm, sunny and lovely. We stayed at Bamboo cottages at Vung Bau bay. A secluded beach with just us on it (to begin with). It was not only we, of course, but also the boys´s 3 friends they met there. In other words it was about 8 people on a beach that was about 2 kilometers. It was so nice. We explored the island on motobike. My conclusion of this exploration was that the beach was best where we lived.

Read and see more pics on the "read more" link on your right.

Ruben and Ossian on the beach by Bamboo cottages. It was a hard time to get them to go out of the water. It was a lot of swimming and playing on the beach. Kaye and David also got some time to relax. I think David read 3 books during our visit to Phu Quoc.
_Kaye took every chance to play with the boys.
David outside their beach-front bungalow.
The roads were not as we are  used to in Sweden. A lot of fun though. I must buy myself a motobike when we get back to Ha Noi.
Ossian took this biker thing seriously.
_High-speed exploration of Phu Quoc (not!).
Fancy restaurant that we visited on our way around the island. The tin shed is actually the restaurant._
Lunchtime. Not very much is going on in Viet Nam around this time.
On christmas eve we went to Sau beach on the eastcoast. We wanted a white christmas and this was the best we could come up with - a white sandy beach. My wife was a bit disappointed when it turned out that the sand wasn´t that white. She had pictured herself a beach with really white sand. Anyway, the beach was really nice and the kids loved to play in the waves.
Kaye is pursuing her favorite hobby - besides bouncing in the waves.
_Rubens Christmas lunch is weighed before cooking. He had long been nagging about eating crab.
And he liked it. He did need some help. I had to crack the shell open for him.
Later that evening the boys got their christmas presents.
A big happy smile. The boys got what they wanted. Thank you aunt Åsa and uncle Henrik. We really missed you guys.
Phu Quoc ridgeback. A breed only found on this Island. This little cuty got some of our leftovers at a lunch restaurant we visited.

This really is a correct weblog for anyone who wishes to be familiar with this topic. That you are aware of a whole lot its almost tricky to argue together with you (not too I actually would want.HaHa). You certainly put a brand new spin more than a topic thats been written about for many years. Fantastic stuff, just excellent!

Spot on with this write-up, I truly believe this web site needs much a lot more consideration. Ill probably be once more to read significantly much more, thanks for that information.

Hi there,

thanks for this blogpost! We are just planning our trip to Vietnam and Phu Quoc and we are opting for staying at Bamboo cottages. How did you like the place in over all and is it good for smaller kids? Would you recommend some other place at Phu Quoc or things to do?
